Sometimes, it is convenient to shake your device to leave feedback. You don’t have to search for the contact form; it simply appears as you make a shaking motion. Now think about people with limited mobility or individuals with hand tremors. Motion-activation features can be problematic for these individuals.

If your application uses a motion activation feature, you must ensure that:

• anyone can reach the same result using standard actions (tapping or using assistive technologies);
• you can disable motion-activated features to prevent accidental activation.

Motion can be the only input method if an application, such as a pedometer, needs to collect sensor data. The application requires the device’s motion to work in cases like this.
